To regulate the pH in swimming pools 

The pH is a very important measure to take into account in swimming pools. The pH indicates the degree of acidity or basicity of the water. It is expressed on a scale between 0 (high acidity) and 14 (high basicity).

Pool water with a pH value lower than 7 is acidic and if it is higher, it is basic. It is essential to check and adjust the pH, if necessary, every day.

The ideal pH value of the pool water should always be between 7.2 and 7.6.

A high pH causes

• Diminution of the effects of the disinfectant, it is necessary to use more product (chlorine) to disinfect the same.
• Turbid water
• Irritation of eyes and mucous membranes
• Destruction of the natural protective layer of the skin.
• Limescale deposits in the pool

Low pH causes

• Corrosion of metal materials (ladders, pool accessories...)
• Deterioration of the pool
• Irritation of eyes and mucous membranes
• Excessive use of disinfectant

The Blaupool pH reducer prevents irritation, corrosion of metal parts of the pool or excessive consumption of disinfectant due to a pH imbalance.

Instructions for use pH MINUS GR

1. To decrease the pH by one tenth: Add 750 g of PH MINUS GR per 50 m³ of water.
2. Pour the required dose into a container with water and spread it evenly over the surface of the pool.
3. Perform a control, if necessary daily, of the pH with an analyzer kit. The values should be between 7.2 and 7.6.

NOTE: the dosage is for guidance only, as it depends on the characteristics of the water (hardness, pH, salt content, etc.).
