Frequently asked questions about Intex pools

How much chlorine to put in an Intex pool

The correct level of total chlorine in pools is between 0.5-1.5 ppm. The dose of chlorine to apply depends on the volume of water in the pool.  

The chlorine level can be altered by several factors: water temperature, number of bathers, weather conditions. This causes that the disinfectant is consumed faster and therefore we have to add more chemical product.

How to put the chlorine in the inflatable pool intex

The chemical product for the disinfection, the chlorine, can be found in different formats: liquid, granulated or in tablet.

If it is in tablet format it will be introduced inside a dispenser so that it dissolves. When there are bathers it is recommended to take it out.

If it is in liquid or granulated form it is important to dissolve it before in a bucket with water so that it does not discolor or damage the liner. It is recommended to add the chemical at dusk and without the presence of swimmers.

How to keep your Intex pool perfectly clean

In only 4 steps/actions you will be able to enjoy a 100% disinfected and crystal clear water:

1. Analyze pH level, it has to be between 7,2-7,6.
2. Analyze chlorine level, total chlorine should be between 0.5 - 1.5 ppm.
3. Put the purifier in filtration for 6-8 hours daily
4. Keep the pool free of dirt using manual or electric pool cleaners.

If you follow these steps throughout the summer you will be able to enjoy long swims in clean water.

How long should I put the removable pool filtering system in place?

One of the keys for a correct maintenance of the water of the swimming pool and therefore of a clean water is the filtration equipment. For a good filtration of the water, the filtering equipment must be in filtration a minimum of 6-8 hours days, this way the whole volume of the water of the swimming pool will be filtered.

The hours may vary depending on the factors mentioned above: temperature, number of bathers, weather conditions, among others.

How to fill the pool with water for the first time

When you have the pool assembled and installed it is time to fill it, for that we will have to follow some steps and take into account a series of factors.

1. Fill the pool little by little so that the canvas stays well in place and stretch it if there are any wrinkles.
2. Fill above the level of the purifier intakes to check that the connections are well connected and that there is no leakage.
3. Remove the air from the scrubber, it is necessary to bleed the system to remove the air and allow it to fill with water.  
4. Start up the scrubber to verify that it is working properly.
5. Test the pH of the pool water and adjust it to 7,2-7,6
6. Add the disinfectant chemical according to the volume of the pool water
7. To complement with clarifying products to obtain a transparent water.
8. Keep the purifier running a minimum of 6-8 hours a day.
9. Remember to analyze the pool parameters every 2-3 days for optimal maintenance.
