Prevention of stains in the swimming pool 

Not all coloration or stains in the pool are a symptom of algae blooms, it can be caused by another factor such as the presence of metals. 

Brown, orange or black stains or coloration of the water can mean the presence of iron, manganese or calcium among other metals. It can be due to the fact that the water of the pool comes from well water, that works are carried out around the pool...

Presence of metals in the pool 

If there is presence of metals in the water of the swimming pool but there are NO stains we will follow these steps:

1. Check iron level with Insta Test analytical strips.
2. Check and regulate pH levels
3. Check free chlorine level between 1-3 ppm or total chlorine level between 0,5-1,5 ppm.
4. Add 1.5 L/100 m³ at pool start-up and 0.5 L/100 m³ for weekly maintenance.

This product is used to avoid these colorations by the excess of metals, if you have well water or there is presence of metals around the pool, we recommend to follow this treatment. 

To eliminate metals swimming pool water 

If there is presence of metals and stains on walls, bottom and stairs of the pool, we will follow these steps:

1. Check iron level with Insta Test analytical strips.
2. Check and regulate pH levels
3. Check free chlorine level between 1-3 ppm or total chlorine level between 0.5-1.5 ppm.
4. If stains are scattered throughout the pool, add 20g/m³ of Spot Remover and spread over the entire surface and start filtration.
5. If there are stains in a specific area, add 12 g/m³ Spot Remover. Wait 10 minutes and start the filtration.
6. After 3-4 hours add 15ml/m³ of Ion Magnetic.
7. Check and regulate pH levels

IMPORTANT: to improve the effectiveness of the treatment we recommend brushing the affected area before and after the treatment.
