Pool selector valve Magnum series

One of the components of the filtration system essential for a correct operation and to obtain a clean and crystalline water are the selector valves. The function of this element is to tell the purifier the function to be performed: filtration, washing, rinsing, recirculation, emptying and closing.

The Magnum valve range has been designed to withstand high working pressures and its coupling to large filters that require special connections.

Selector valve functions

• Filtration: normal operating position of the purifier. (Pump - Valve - Filter - Return)

• Washing: used to wash the sand or glass filter (Pump - Valve - Filter (reverse direction) - Drain).

• Rinsing: it is always done after a filter washing.  (Pump - Valve - Filter - Drain)

• Recirculation: the water does not pass through the filter, it is used when you want to move the water but it does not pass through the filter because it is very dirty or because you want to distribute the product throughout the pool. (Pump - Valve - Return)

• Emptying: the pool water goes directly to the drain without passing through the filter. (Pump - Valve - Drainage)

• Closed: it is used to close the filter circuit and this position is used in winter or for cleaning processes. No circulation. Never activate the pump in this position. 

Recommendations 

• To avoid water hammer, change the position of the selector valve with the pump disconnected.
• Do not use liquid Teflon in the connections. Use Teflon tape or flat
