Flat selector valve 

The 6-way valve or selector valve plays a vital role in the pool filtration system by directing the specific tasks of the filtering system, such as filtration, washing, rinsing, recirculation, emptying or closing. 

Astralpool's new Flat selector valve introduces an outstanding innovation: a single-level design, as opposed to the usual two levels of selector valves, which reduces its dimensions. This feature makes it especially suitable for applications where space is limited, such as houses or monoblocs. It stands out for its versatility that offers greater efficiency in reduced spaces.

Flat selector valve features 

• The Flat valve application is recommended for filters up to 550 mm in diameter or with comparable pressure drop levels.
• Allows to perform the same functions as a conventional valve: filtering, washing, rinsing, emptying, recirculation and closing
• 6 working positions
• Maximum working pressure of 2,5 Kg/cm2
• ABS cover body and handle
• PPO distributor
• Wide swivel range hood with respect to the body
• AISI-316 stainless steel bolt locking system
• The design of the distributor avoids possible clogging caused by sand, dirt, etc.
• Maximum mechanical and corrosion resistance.

Selector valve functions

• Filtration: normal operating position of the filtering machine (Pump - Valve - Filter - Return).
• Washing: used to wash the sand or glass filter (Pump - Valve - Filter (reverse direction) - Drain).
• Rinsing: it is always done after washing the filter (Pump - Valve - Filter - Drain).
• Recirculation: the water does not pass through the filter, it is used when you want to move the water but does not pass through the filter because it is very dirty or because you want to distribute the product throughout the pool (Pump - Valve - Filter - Return).
• Empty: the pool water goes directly to the drain without passing through the filter (Pump - Valve - Drain).
• Closed: used to close the purifier circuit and this position is used in winter or for cleaning processes. No circulation. Never activate the pump in this position. 

Recommendations 

• To avoid water hammer, change the position of the selector valve with the pump disconnected.
• Do not use liquid Teflon in the connections. Use Teflon tape or flat gasket.
