Hayward offers a wide range of solutions for water treatment, among these solutions are the classic pumps that are characterized by being robust and reliable. Among the wide variety of models we highlight the Starpump model, a small size pump specially designed for small pools, above ground and in-ground pools.

The Starpump pool pump is a model fully compatible with the PowerFlo II and Powerline series.

Starpump pool pump features 

  • Designed for small, above ground or in-ground pools and sheds
  • Compact pump with high performance
  • Available in power ratings from 0.25 hp to 1.5 hp in single-phase current
  • Flow range from 5,4 m³/h to 17,2 m³/h (at 8 mc.a.)
  • Includes pre-filter basket with a capacity of 1.1 liters.
  • Recommended for pools up to 100 m³.
  • Transparent pre-filter cover to check for debris

  • Easy opening of the pre-filter by the twist lock lid
  • Drain plugs for easy hibernation

  • Mechanical seal in AISI 304 suitable for salt water

The Starpump 0,25 HP self-priming pump is a residential pool pump with a power of 0,25 HP of single-phase current and provides a flow rate of 5,4 m³/h at 8 m.c.a.

This pump is fully compatible with the 0.25 HP PowerFlo II and 0.25 HP Powerline models.

The pump includes 50 mm connection and suction fittings or ø 32/38 mm adapters.

The Hayward Starpump model is characterized by its low noise level with a sound pressure of less than 70 dB.

Instructions for starting and priming the pool pump

  1. Fill the filter body with water up to the level of the suction pipe (Never start the pump without water).
  2. Open all the suction and delivery valves (also the filter air bleed, if any)
  3. Start the unit and wait for priming for a certain period of time (priming will depend on the suction height and the length of the suction pipe).

Maintenance of the pool pump 

  1. Regularly clean the pre-filter basket and check the seal of the pre-filter cover.
  2. Keep the motor clean and dry and make sure that the ventilation holes are free of obstruction.
  3. Occasionally the mechanical seal may leak and must be replaced.
