Tangit Unilock is a multifilament thread sealant that is used to achieve tightness in plastic and metal threaded connections and pipes. It is recommended for use in threaded assemblies that require immediate use and may require readjustment prior to use.
This thread sealant is recommended for sealing tapered, metal and plastic threads on fittings and pipe up to 4".
Tangit Uni-Lock Sealant Features
- Universal sealant for all types of threads
- Immediate sealing for all pressures and temperatures
- Allows threads to be disassembled and reused
- High performance
- Withstands temperature extremes from -20°C to 130°C
Can be used for rigid and flexible pipes in hot or cold water, gas, compressed air and cooling fluids installations. It is suitable for application on various types of plastics as well as metals.
Application instructions
- Clean the thread thoroughly. Metal threads should be cleaned with a wire brush.
- Place the sealing thread on the side of the thread from the end of the thread, leaving approximately three strings free.
- Wrap the thread around the thread starting at the end of the pipe, following the same spiral direction, continue winding crosswise until 3/4 of the thread is covered.
- Cut the bead right at the edge of the thread using the cutter included in the package, press and tighten the thread onto the thread. Make sure the thread is wound with a certain degree of tension.
