The clapper valve is a type of non-return valve but it incorporates a flapper that acts, with gravity, as a shutter. What this element does is to prevent the passage when the fluid moves in the undesired direction. They work by gravity so they have to be placed in a certain position.
It is installed at the base of the suction pipe of a pump, between the pump and the tank, thus allowing the fluid to pass but preventing it from backing up into the tank.
We have a wide range of dimensions and combinations to adapt the installation to your needs from 63 mm diameter up to 315 mm diameter and in a normal pressure of PN 6.
Important: Do not mount the valve at a distance of less than 5 x D from a pump outlet. Install with PN 10 pipe, if PN 16 is used, damage to the valve may occur.
Note: It is important to choose the type of valve according to the fluid and therefore to choose between EPDM or FPM (Viton) seals.
The following table shows the outer diameter, the normal pressure, and the references of the flapper valve:
Consult the following table for the dimensions of the clapper valve according to the outside diameter.
