Gluing the stoneware without emptying the pool

Gluing the pieces of stoneware that have fallen out when the pool is full is possible with the product PX UNDERWATER:

1. Product for gluing pieces of vitreous mosaic or porcelain stoneware pieces inside full or empty pools.
2. It allows the gluing of individual pieces, which are surrounded by other pieces that will act as anchorage of the glued piece.

Instructions for use PX UNDERWATER

Preparation of the substrate

In order to guarantee a long lasting adhesion it is important a correct, exhaustive and detailed cleaning of the cavity. The applicator must dive repeatedly to clean the gap between parts. 

It is important that no residue of the old adhesive remains, it must be cleaned up to the waterproofing that was underneath the cement glue (number 2 in the illustrations). 

Adhesive preparation 

PX UNDERWATER is a bi-component product, it is necessary to mix the two components with a mixer coupled to an electric drill for 2-3 minutes intensely (number 1 of the illustrations).

Application of the adhesive  

1. Put on disposable nitrile gloves and protective goggles are recommended.
2. Apply a good amount of PX UNDERWATER on the back of the piece to be placed. Apply 10-20 gr/piece of 25 x 25 mm. The objective is that the excess product protrudes through the joints and acts as a grout. (number 3 of the illustrations).
3. The applicator should be immersed in the pool with the mosaic piece and the PX UNDERWATER adhesive on the back of the piece. 
4. Place the piece in the hole and press very hard, the objective is that the adhesive expels the water from the hole and in this way it will come into contact with the mortar base of the pool (number 4 of the illustrations).
5. With the excess adhesive that protrudes from the joints, we will fill the joints between pieces (number 5 of the illustrations).
6. Clean the remains of PX UNDERWATER (number 6 of the illustrations).
