Foot valve metering pump Seko
For a correct functioning of the dosing pump it is important that all the elements that compose it are in good condition. For this reason we supply the original Seko spare parts and in this way you will be able to replace worn or damaged parts and have a dosing pump in perfect condition.
The foot valve is a type of check valve that is placed at one end of the transparent hose. Through the transparent hose, one end is connected to the suction valve of the dosing pump and the other end to the foot valve that goes inside the chemical.
This foot valve incorporates a filter whose function is to prevent particles or dirt from entering and passing from the chemical to the dosing pump and clogging the fluid.
In addition, the function of this accessory is to allow the fluid to pass through but prevent it from backing up into the container or tank containing the chemical.
It is important that the foot valve is in perfect condition to ensure proper operation.
Different types of foot valves are available depending on the material:
- PVDF or PVDF-T: PVDF is a plastic material characterized by excellent chemical resistance. It is waterproof, withstands high temperatures, frost... PVDF-T is a material that does not have as many properties as PVDF, so we recommend that depending on the liquid to be dosed, such as sulfuric acid, the PVDF material should be used.
- Seals in FKM-B (Viton) or EPDM: the choice of one type of seal or the other will depend on the liquid to be dosed. For example, if you want to dose liquid chlorine, it is recommended to use Viton seals because it is a more aggressive chemical product.
The Seko foot valve is compatible with the following models:
- Tekna AKS / Tekna TPR / Tekna TPG / Tekna AKL / Tekna TCK
- Tekba
- Komba
- Maxima
- Kompact
How do I know which foot valve to choose for my dosing pump
When selecting the metering pump model or its spare parts, it is essential to take into account the coding found on the side label. This coding not only identifies the model, but also provides crucial information, such as the hydraulic characteristics, the materials of the various components, the power supply...
We consider the modelo Seko Tekna TPR603NHH0000 to explain the coding:
1. The first field is the model: TPR
2. The second field the hydraulic characteristic: 603
3. The third field is the voltage: N
4. The fourth field is the head material: H
5. The fifth field is the installation kit: H
6. The sixth field is the gaskets: 0
To choose the foot filter it will be necessary to consider this field.
There are different types of seals:
- FKM-B: also known as Viton, it is specifically used for acid products.
- EPDM: type of gasket used for products such as soda, alkaline products, etc.
- PTFE: also known as Teflon, universally resistant and highly leak-proof.
- FFKM: used in applications where high resistance to chemicals, high temperatures and extreme conditions is required.
7. The seventh field is standard: 0
8. The eighth field is customizations:00
For this particular model, TPR603NHH0000 the appropriate foot valve would be code SI00107122 , choosing:
- Seals: Viton (FKM-B)
- Range: Tekna
- Model: 600/603/800
- Head: PVDF
Consult the following table for the reference according to the pump model and the most suitable material:
Code | Body | Seals | TEKBA | KOMBA | TEKNA | KOMPACT | MAXIMA | Model |
SI00107122 | PVDF | Viton | X | X | X | X | 600-603-800 | |
