Maintaining an optimal chlorine or bromine level is one of the most important factors to take into account in pool maintenance. An excess of chlorine or bromine can cause adverse reactions to swimmers such as eye or skin irritation or respiratory problems in closed environments such as spas. 

The chlorine and bromine neutralizer Astralpool is characterized by:

• Indicated to eliminate excess chlorine and residual bromine in swimming pools.

Instructions for use neutralizer 

For a good maintenance of the swimming pool it is important to follow the following instructions:

1. Regulate the pH to 7.2 - 7.6. If the pH is not regulated, the neutralizer may have no effect or the opposite effect.
2. Add 100 grams of product to reduce the chlorine by approximately 0.5 mg/l. (ppm.) the residual chlorine of 100 m³ of water. Dissolve the required dose of product in a container with water, and spread the solution evenly over the surface of the pool.
3. Leave the filtration equipment running for a minimum of 6 - 8 hours for the product to act.
4. Check the pH level and adjust it to 7.2 - 7.6.

Correct chlorine levels

• Free chlorine: chlorine with disinfection power. Optimal level 1-3 ppm
• Residual chlorine: chlorine without disinfection power. Optimal level of 0.5 - 2 ppm.
• Total chlorine: combines free and residual chlorine. Optimum level of 0.5 - 1.5 ppm.
