WHY DOES ALGAE GET IN THE POOL?

Algae are autotrophic plant microorganisms which are introduced into the pool water by wind, rain or other swimmers. 

Algae are formed from mineral salts, such as phosphates, carbon dioxide and light, which through photosynthesis are synthesized into carbohydrates (organic matter) and oxygen is released into the atmosphere.

The conditions for algae to reproduce are: very hot water, unbalanced pH levels, few hours of filtration...

Desalgine® is a concentrated liquid anti-algae product to prevent, and therefore prevent, algae from growing. In addition, Desalgine® contains a clarifying effect that will make your pool water shine even more.

HOW TO PREVENT ALGAE WITH DESALGINE?

• Preliminary treatment

Spray a 1-2% solution on the walls. Allow to dry before filling the pool with water.

• Initial treatment

Pour 150 ml of Desalgine® for every 10 m3 of water, in front of the delivery nozzles with the filtration in operation. After the treatment, leave the filtration running for 2 hours.

• Preventive weekly treatment

Pour 50 ml for every 10 m3 of water (30 ml in covered pools).

• Presence of algae

1. Brushing the walls
2. Make a filter cleaning
3. Performing the usual shock treatment
4. Pour 250 ml of Desalgine® for every 10 m3 of water

*Recommendations: The filtration must work every day (at least a time equal to the temperature of the water divided by 2). With high temperatures or intensive use of the pool, it may be necessary to dose more product. Dosing during the whole bathing season, regardless of whether or not there is algae (preventive treatment).

*Warnings: Never mix different chemical products in concentrated form. Always add the product to the water and never the other way around.
